Dr Rajesh Krishnamoorthy
Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton
Dr Rajesh Krishnamoorthy is a Consultant Gastroenterologist based in Derby, having joined the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Trust as a consultant in 2014. He has a broad clinical practice with particular interests in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), clinical nutrition, dyspepsia and the management of acute gastrointestinal conditions.
He is the Endoscopy Training Lead for his hospital Trust, with a particular interest in endoscopy education, training and quality improvement. He is also an accredited NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme colonoscopist with expertise on polyp identification, resection and surveillance.
Dr Krishnamoorthy has a strong interest in clinical nutrition and evidence-based approaches to gastrointestinal health. He is actively involved in postgraduate medical education and the training and development of endoscopists.
