Alice Millbank

Alice Millbank is the co-founder and chief scientific officer at Rooted Research Collective and a PhD researcher at Aston University. Her research explores how we can grow real meat without animals, using tiny structures made from fungi to support cell growth. Through Rooted, she brings together people and research from science, food and sustainability to build fairer, healthier food systems. Alice’s work has been recognised internationally, with features in Forbes, BBC News, National Geographic and Green Queen.
