Paleo Diet

The Paleo diet (or Paleolithic diet) is inspired by what people might have eaten during the Stone Age. It emphasises whole, unprocessed foods that could be obtained by hunting and gathering, such as:

  • Meat, fish, eggs
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Healthy fats like olive oil and avocado

The diet excludes foods introduced through agriculture, including:

  • Grains (like wheat and rice)
  • Legumes (like beans and lentils)
  • Dairy products
  • Refined sugar and processed foods

Its promoters argue that our bodies are better suited to a pre-agricultural diet.
