The manosphere is a loose, informal network of websites, blogs, forums, social media accounts, and influencers that promote ideas related to masculinity, men’s rights, and male identity—often in opposition to feminism. While parts of the manosphere focus on legitimate concerns such as men's mental health or father’s rights, many spaces are known for misogynistic, anti-feminist, or reactionary content. It encompasses groups like men’s rights activists (MRAs), pickup artists (PUAs), incels ("involuntary celibates"), and others who critique modern gender norms, often through a lens of grievance or entitlement.
The term is frequently used pejoratively or critically in academic, media, and activist circles because of its association with toxic masculinity, gender-based misinformation, and radicalization pathways online.
