In-Vitro Study

Studies conducted outside a living organism, typically using isolated cells, tissues or biological molecules in controlled laboratory conditions.

Purpose: Useful for investigating biological mechanisms and testing how cells or tissues respond to specific exposures, but findings may not translate directly to effects in humans.

Example: Exposing cultured human muscle cells to a plant compound to examine its effects on cellular signalling.
