Dr Fláv (Flávia Fayet-Moore) is a Brazilian-born, Canadian-raised, Australian-made nutrtition scientist, space nutritionist and entrepreneur. Flávia graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science (Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences Specialist), obtained her Master of Nutrition and Dietetics and completed a PhD in nutrition from the University of Sydney. Flávia was the first dietitian in Australia to be board certified in lifestyle medicine, and is passionate about improving health. Her research interests include future foods, dietary patterns, lifestyle intervention, population health and personalised nutrition. She is a member of the Nutrition Society of Australia, the Dietitian’s Association of Australia, and was a founding board member of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
As founder and CEO of FOODiQ Global, she leads game-changing research, education and communication that provides strategic and meaningful impact on health. As co-founder of Food is Cool, she is on a mission to help children in their early years have a positive relationship with food for life.
Flávia is also a fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, Adjunct Lecturer at Newcastle University and a recipient of the Dietitians Australia President's Award for Innovation for her work in the space sector.
